Article Processing Charges, Waivers and Refunds

The Journal of Algebra Combinatorics Discrete Structures and Applications is an open access journal. All published articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication. To support the sustainability of open access publishing and to cover editorial, production, technical, and preservation costs, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to accepted manuscripts.

No Submission Fee

The journal does not charge any fee at the submission stage. Authors are not required to pay any fee for submitting a manuscript or for the initial editorial screening of a manuscript.

When the APC Applies

The APC applies only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. Payment of the APC has no influence on editorial screening, reviewer selection, peer-review outcomes, editorial decisions, or acceptance of a manuscript.

APC Amount

The APC is 100 GBP for accepted manuscripts not exceeding 15 pages. If the final accepted manuscript exceeds 15 pages, an additional 50 GBP will be charged.

What the APC Covers

The APC helps cover costs associated with the publication process, including editorial administration, manuscript management, peer-review coordination, author support, copyediting, typesetting, formatting, website hosting, maintenance, DOI registration, digital preservation, and publication-related technical services.

Payment Process

After acceptance, authors will be asked to complete the payment process according to the journal's instructions. Authors should not make any APC payment before the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

Payment may be made through the journal's official payment link: Make APC Payment .

After completing the payment, authors should send a confirmation email to info@jacodesmath.com with the subject line APC Paid and include the manuscript title, author names, and payment confirmation or receipt, if available.

Waivers and Discounts

The journal may consider waiver or discount requests in exceptional circumstances, including cases of demonstrable financial hardship or lack of institutional or grant support. Waiver or discount requests should be submitted to the editorial office after acceptance and before payment is made.

Waiver or discount requests are considered separately from the peer-review and editorial decision-making process. Requests for waivers or discounts do not influence whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected.

Refund Policy

If an APC has been paid in error, authors should contact the editorial office as soon as possible. Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Once production work has begun, including copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, online publication preparation, or publication of the article, APC refunds may not be available except in cases of confirmed payment error or other exceptional circumstances determined by the journal.

APC and Editorial Independence

APC payment, waiver requests, discounts, or payment status have no influence on editorial decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, technical correctness, originality, ethical compliance, and peer-review assessment.

Contact

Questions about APCs, payments, waivers, discounts, or refunds should be directed to the editorial office at info@jacodesmath.com.
